HDMI to RCA converter

A while back I did a video on a simple HDMI to RCA patch cord that claimed to allow people to go from their newer gaming console and other such devices to an older monitor or TV. Hey it happens sometimes you need to use what you have at hand or do it on the cheap. you can see that video here
The long and the short of it is that those cables are not designed to do what people want them too in most cases. They are not built to plug into your console then into the TV and away you go. at the very best you might get sound but that’s not the experience everyone has most get straight up nothing.
These cables are designed to work in conjunction with other components or in situations where the the components already speak the same language.
In order to go from HDMI to RCA sometimes called AV, or S-PDIF you require a converter that essentially translates the language of the console to that of the TV and that’s where the converter comes in. you have a HDMI in and an RCA out so the console connects to the HDMI and exits to the TV through the RCA

This device can be used in multiple regions being switchable between PAL and NTSC. This makes it more versatile if you have to move between the different regions.
It is powered by a standard micro USB so again very versatile and can ether plugged into a wall with the appropriate adapter or into the back of the TV or console its being used on.

While not as cheap as the cable which is usually advertised around $5 these cost just over 3 times that but if you start with this information you will save yourself 3 dud purchases the frustration of the failure to function as desired and space they take up in your spare cable box every man has tucked away somewhere
This unit is very unobtrusive measuring only 2 inch x 1.75 inch by 1/2 inch excluding the required cables and can be mounted using a HDMI elbow to keep its profile even lower and the wires neat and tidy.
The video output is surprisingly good I do not think you can achieve true 4k etc with such a device but if you require such a device your probably not worried about that at the moment anyway. This device would be ideal for home or away like the camper, trailer, car truck RV and so on allowing you to connect a modern console computer etc into an older audio visual system in those applications.
I hope you found this informative if you did please check out one of my videos watch an advertisement as I do not make anything off the links etc so supporting my channel helps me keep making more and better content
